Bridging the gap for children and adolescents

Groups are currently forming for children and adolescents including:

On Target- ADHD coping skills

In Control- Dealing with Anxiety

Quest- Developmental Disorders

Grief

Divorce

Sibling Support

Group Leaders

 

Groups will be facilitated by Professional Counselors. 

Each counselor has training and experience working with children and adolescents. 

Low clinician to child ratios will be maintained in order to maximize the benefit for each child.

 

 

 
Text Box: Group Values Groups provide an environment for children to feel comfortable in learning and utilizing new skills that can help them to thrive in the world around them. Groups are designed to promote collaborative interaction that emphasizes the strengths of the participants. Groups emphasize: Building of friendship skills Increasing confidence Improving coping skills Identifying and coping with emotions Text Box: Group Structure Groups will meet each week for 60 minutes (45 minutes for children 6 and under). All groups are open allowing new members to join at any time. Age, abilities, and needs will be considered when forming groups. Each group will allow opportunities for learning and implementing the skills in a supportive environment. Activities are designed to engage children and enhance learning.
